AKS welcomes Fiona Swift to the English Department PUBLISHED 10 September 2024 Fiona was born and bred in Lytham, she has been a teacher for 20 years and a mum for 12 years. She is very excited to begin her first year at AKS. Fiona has worked as a PE teacher, English teacher, Literacy Lead, Teaching and Learning Lead and Head of English. She is looking forward to teaching alongside a new team and getting to know her new classes and form group. She loves teaching new texts, plays and poetry and particularly enjoys taking classes to the theatre to see a text performed. Her favourite plays are a diverse mix of ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘The Woman in Black’ and ‘Mamma Mia’. In her free time, Fiona loves reading, spinning, boxing, lifting weights and running round Fairhaven Lake trying to keep up with her two children. She also loves travelling and adventure.
