Year 5 & 6 Athletics Team crowned Wyre & Fylde Quadkids Champions
AKS Prep Shine at Wyre and Fylde QuadKids Athletics!
A combined Year 3 & 4 team and a combined Year 5 & 6 team saw 20 AKS Prep children proudly represent the school at the recent Wyre and Fylde QuadKids Athletics event.
Each child competed in all four events—long distance, sprint, throw, and jump—demonstrating resilience, determination, and true AKS spirit throughout the day.
For many of our Year 3 & 4 children, this was their first time taking part in such a large-scale competition, facing over 15 schools from across the borough. They performed with confidence and enthusiasm, showcasing their all-round athletic ability and gaining valuable experience. Their fantastic team effort was rewarded with a commendable 7th place finish—an excellent achievement!
Our Year 5 & 6 team brought passion and determination from the outset, with strong individual performances across all four events. With multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes, they consistently stacked up points. After an exciting final relay race, the results were in—AKS had secured an outstanding 1st place, making them Under 11 Wyre and Fylde Champions! What an incredible achievement!
