Celebrating Success: End-of-Half-Term Achievements Across the School

As the half term draws to a close, we are delighted to reflect on the many achievements and moments of pride across our school community.

From commendations to merits, our students have continued to show commitment, resilience, and a consistently positive attitude. It has been a term full of effort, growth, and success and we are proud to recognise the individuals who have gone above and beyond.

Year 7 Highlights

Year 7 has had a particularly impressive half term, with several students reaching major milestones in our reward system. 10 students have received the Platinum Award, recognising those who have earned over 70 commendations. This brings the total number of Platinum achievers in Year 7 to an outstanding 27 students.

Congratulations to:

  • Ella, Elena, Samuel, Harry P, Oscar E, Skye, Harry S, Emily, Haylie and Lottie.

In addition, 9 students have now joined the elite ranks of Diamond Award winners earning over 100 commendations. A remarkable accomplishment!

Well done to:

  • Fraser, Joe, Amelie, Mishal, Grace H, Tom, Rayya, Millie and Grace W.

Year 7 students were also challenged to collect the most merits over a five-week period. We’re thrilled to announce that Jack emerged as the top merit earner, achieving 35 commendations! Jack has received a Fast Track Pass, allowing him and a friend to jump the lunch and break queues throughout examination week; plus, a treat on us.

House points were closely contested this half term. The results for Year 7 are:

  • 4th place: Rufford

  • 3rd place: Salmesbury

  • 2nd place: Gawthorpe

  • 1st place: Leighton

Fantastic work from everyone — your efforts continue to make your houses proud!

Year 8 Triumphs

Year 8 saw a standout half term for the boys, with particularly strong performances across the board. We’re pleased to announce Nikhil as the Year 8 winner, with Ruben and Samuel close behind.

Year 9 Achievers

The Year 9 stars this half term are Estelle and Adrianna both of whom have demonstrated outstanding effort, energy, and consistency.

Year 10 Excellence

In Year 10, we celebrate two students who have truly risen to the challenge. Sienna and Lujain have shown remarkable dedication throughout the term and have earned their place as leaders of excellence this half term.

Whole School House Point Standings

Every merit and commendation add to a much bigger picture. With 10 house points awarded per merit and additional points for certificates, everyone’s achievements contribute to their house’s standing.

After tallying the totals across all year groups, the overall half-term house results are:

  • 4th place: Rufford

  • 3rd place: Gawthorpe

  • 2nd place: Salmesbury

  • 1st place: Leighton

We are so proud of everything you have achieved; keep aiming high!
