The Year 8 Boys competition saw a sprint double for Leo M winning the 100m ( 14.3s) and 200m ( 29.9s) while Kienan M won the Long Jump with a leap of 3.46m. Talented Year 8 girls  Charlotte L and Amelia H  dominated on the track and field with Charlotte bagging 3 wins in the 100m ( 14.7s), 200m ( 30.1) and Long Jump ( 4.17m ) while Amelia won the hurdles (13.9s) and was second in the Long Jump.

The Year 7 boys and girls squads were competing for the first time and they performed superbly. In the girls competition talented athletes Anna V and Camilla C proved too good for the opposition dominating all the events with Anna winning three events and Camilla two. Anna won the Hurdles (12.3s) and 200m ( 30.6s ) with Camilla winning the 100m ( 14.6s) and Long Jump. The best performance of the evening however was in the 800m where Anna recorded a superb time of 2m43s to win, a time just 1 second outside the school record, with Camilla just 4 seconds behind with a time of 2m47s. Olivia D also performed superbly to finish second in the 100m with a seasons best of 15.6s  while Maisie W was second in the 200m. Overall it was fantastic to see the school field buzzing with young athletes from AKS and Westholme all enjoying competing and giving of their best in every event. The event could not have been staged without the tremendous efforts of the staff from both schools and it was a superb collaboration to provide this competition for both pupils and spectators to enjoy.
