Woman in Black - Sixth Form Trip Student Report PUBLISHED 18 September 2019 By Dulcie, Year 12 Last week around 20 Year 12 and 13 students embarked on our first Sixth Form adventure of this academic year. We were off to Blackpool’s Grand Theatre to see the touring production of “The Woman in Black”. It was exciting, it was petrifying and it was thrilling, but most importantly of all it included a “cheeky Nando’s” before any of the real action even began. The play itself lived up to its rumours, the hairs on the back of our necks were on end and even a few screams were heard, especially as actors entered the stage area from right behind our seats! We clutched onto each other as the play really got going – if Mr Maund had been stuck for an ice-breaker, he’d accidentally hit upon a perfect one. I definitely enjoyed the play and my experience and I hope there are many more like it to come (hopefully though they’ll be slighty less nail-bitingly scary).
