From Local Roots to School Leaders: AKS Announces 2025–26 Student Leadership Team

We are proud to announce the new Student Leadership Team for the 2025–2026 academic year, comprising six exceptional Year 13 students.

David Harrow, Headmaster, shared:

“In a year filled with high points, perhaps one of the most wonderful is the matter of choosing our Student Leadership Team for the coming academic year. The process is an uplifting opportunity to explore the visions and ambitions of our Sixth Form students, and what they hope to bring to our school and its community.”

Student Leadership Team 2025–26:

Heads of School: Harper C and Alfie K

Deputy Heads of School: Charlotte C, Evangeline D, Tommy M and Rhys N

Faye Marland, Assistant Head, shared:

“It is always inspiring to witness students step forward with the maturity, vision and commitment needed for leadership. This year’s team embodies the very best of what we strive for at AKS; a community where character, courage, and compassion are nurtured. We are incredibly proud of these students and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make across our school in the year ahead.”

This team represents more than just responsibility - it represents a vibrant, supportive culture where students are encouraged to lead with integrity and purpose. These students have been selected not only for their academic excellence or extracurricular dedication, but for their character, initiative, and the respect they have earned from peers and staff alike.

What makes this year’s team especially notable is their diverse range of beginnings. Five of the six students joined AKS from a range of local schools - including Lytham Hall Park, Singleton C of E, Heyhouses Endowed C of E, St Peter’s Catholic Primary School and All Hallow’s Catholic High School - while one progressed through our own AKS Prep School. This is a powerful reflection of how AKS nurtures talent from across the region, helping students grow into respected, confident leaders - no matter their starting point.

Whether coming from small village schools or larger primaries, each of these students has found their voice at AKS, seized opportunities and inspired those around them. They exemplify how AKS supports each pupil in growing into the best version of themselves - respected, confident and capable leaders of tomorrow.

Their success stands as a testament to our inclusive ethos and the strength of our partnerships with local schools and families
