On Friday 20th June, Year 10 students stepped away from their usual timetable to take part in a Skills for life morning. The day was packed with engaging activities designed to help students prepare for life beyond school. Students began with Morrisby psychometric testing, gaining personalised insights into their strengths, interests, and potential career paths. This was followed by the Future Proofing Finance workshop, where students learned Essential money management skills and DIY where they had the opportunity to construct miniature cars.
A popular highlight of the day was the self-defence session, which gave students a chance to learn basic techniques for personal safety. It was an empowering and energetic session that helped boost confidence and awareness.
The day was a great success, with students showing maturity, enthusiasm and a real interest in the topics covered.
