A wet and windy day did not stop the AKS netball teams being in action as 8 teams from years 7-10 represented the school with over 70 girls enjoying  competitive matches  against Rossall.

Pride of place goes to the U13 squad who fielded 3 teams and recorded wins for all three. The A team were ably led by Captain Lauren M who was voted the Player of the Match in their 8 – 3 win. The team kept possession well and passed down the court accurately to create scoring opportunities which were duly converted by the shooters.  The B team defended superbly to keep a clean sheet in their 4 – 0 win with Sophie C being voted the best player whilst the C team completed the trio of wins with a 5 – 2 victory. Player of the match was Claudia J but all the team contributed to the win.

The U15 squad had an excellent battle  and improved as the game progressed. Playing against a more experienced side the AKS team demonstrated real determination and resilience. There was an outstanding performance from POM Sasha P who showed her class in both attack and defence and captain Lilly G worked unceasingly in the Centre position to link the defensive and attacking ends together. After the first quarter the teams were tied thanks to great defending from Niamh M and Emelie B and controlled passing down the court. As the game progressed however the oppostion's experience allowed them to take the lead and the final score was 10 – 24. However, the team of  Stevie-Jayne S, Niamh M, Maisie McK, Evie A, Lilly G, Sasha P, Olivia D and Hannah A made huge advances throughout the match and learnt a great deal.

The U14 squad fielded two teams and both had exciting games with the B team drawing and the A team narrowly losing. The B teams were well match and at the end of the match it finished with honours even and a 9 – 9 draw. Boths teams played good netball at times and the lead changed hands several times but at the final whistle the teams could not be separated. Camilla C was voted the player of the match for her speed around the court and all the players helped to earn the draw. The A team narrowly lost but showed commendable teamwork and effort with Sienna C being voted the Player of the match..

The Under 12 squad also fielded two teams and displayed remarkable resilience and determination despite losing. Their performance showcased commendable effort and sportsmanship, reflecting a promising spirit for future matches. Evie-Mae and Antonia B for being nominated player of the match.
