The first of this year's Ladies' Luncheon Club programme was held at The Clifton Arms Hotel on Wednesday 15th November.
There was an early festive spirit, with the AKS Sixth Form students selling their products for the Tycoon in Schools enterprise competition before the lunch commenced. Attending the Ladies' Luncheon Club is a key part of the Tycoons' process, as they are able to test customer interest in their products and make any adjustments before the intensity of the four-week sales period ahead. There were six teams in all: Cart Coins, The Christmas Candy Cane Company, Scentify, Glimmering Lights, Christmas Crusaders, Holiday Hampers,
The after-lunch speaker was criminal lawyer and crime writer, Neil White, who gave an insight into the world of writing and getting a book published. He shared many amusing anecdotes of his experiences as a writer and a lively question and answer session followed.
The next lunch is on Wednesday 13th December, when the Freckleton Singers will be providing the entertainment.
