Great start to the season for AKS Boys & Girls Tennis Teams

AKS U13 & U15 boys tennis teams have had a superb start to the season winning all their matches in the LTA league to progress through to the knock-out stages of the competition dropping just two games. The U13 team had great wins against Lytham St. Annes High ,Baines and Rossall to progress . The U15’s had similar victories against Lytham and Baines and they went into the final game against Rossall with a knockout spot in their sights. With the scores level it was a 10 point tie break decider, won by Harry J and Alfie K that was enough to see them join the U13’s in the knock out rounds of the competition.

The U13 girls also remained unbeaten with a superb record against Kirkham, Lytham St.Annes and Rossall, dropping just 4 games in their run in and they make it an AKS treble in the knockout stages. The U15 girls are the only team having to wait on other results, having lost one of their matches but winning the other two in commanding style. Special mentions to Isabelle S-S, Aoifa K and William M-R from year 7, competing in their first LTA U13 competition a year early. Also a huge thank you our captains, Sam B and Isabella S-S (U13’s) and Harry J and Kirtika S (U15’s) for leading the teams so well.
