The football season may have finished for most but not for the AKS U15 girls team who are proving a force to be reckoned with in the ISFA Shield National Competition as they have progressed to the Finals day on 13th June at Hertfordshire FA.
Our girls have had an impressive cup run which has seen them beat Repton school 4- 1 along the way to reach the finals, an impressive performance throughout and a positive impact leading into the finals.
AKS will face either Bradfield or Chigwell in their semi-final, before hopefully facing either Farringtons or Chigwell in the final. The girls are looking forward to continuing their successive cup runs having reached the ISFA U13 Finals in Year 8.
AKS U13 girls football squad have also been in action as they travelled to Stockport Grammar to take part in the ISFA U13 North Regional Qualifier, with top 2 teams qualifying for the National Finals being held at St George's Park, Burton, home to England National teams.
In their group games, AKS showed great promise and determination with impressive performances throughout all their games despite narrowly losing out to both Bolton Girls and Rossall before a victory over Merchant Taylor's Crosby, with goals from Maisie W, & Camilla W.
