Year 5 captivated their audience during their Class Assembly, performing for both parents and fellow students. The theme of the assembly was the Romans, and the pupils brought history to life with a dramatic scene from Boudicca’s Revolt and the construction of Hadrian’s Wall.
The students also showcased their musical talents by singing a song and marching in perfect time, much like the disciplined and organized Roman soldiers. Their confidence shone through as they spoke about their creative projects, including the shields and helmets they crafted in Art, as well as the catapults they built in Design Technology.
It was a wonderful display of their learning and enthusiasm, with everyone enjoying the experience. The assembly highlighted not only the students' knowledge of the Romans but also the lasting impact of Roman history and culture.
