Year 4 make mouth watering ice creams - from felt!

Pupils in Year 4 have been working with artist and felt maker Gill Ferguson who has been showing the children how to make felt.

After showing us her beautiful felt scarves and jewellery Gill skillfully demonstrated how to take sheep's wool (or fleece) and through a process of layering, wetting, setting and rolling, turned it into felt.

The pupils made beautiful ice creams from the felt which have now made a stunning display.

Over the last few weeks Gill has worked with all Key Stage Two classes - so a big thank you to her for all these workshops. We would also like to thank our generous PTA who funded the workshops. PUBLISHED: 09 May 2022
