We would like to invite all students and parents in Years 10, 11 and 12 to join us for an evening focusing on future career pathways after Sixth Form.

6:00pm Senior Hall, ‘Foundations For Your Future’. In this evening’s keynote speech, Catherine Dineley, Head of Group Culture at Lloyd’s Banking Group, will identify the five essential skills to hone to futureproof your employability.

6:30pm Break for refreshments

6:45pm Senior Hall. ‘Creating a Successful UCAS Application’. AKS Sixth Form’s UCAS Co-ordinator, Mr Collings, will demystify the UCAS application process and offer advice on how to produce an impactful application.

7:15 Break for refreshments

7:30pm Library. ‘Introduction to Oxbridge’. Mr O’Loughlin, AKS Oxbridge Co-ordinator, will explore what the universities of Oxford and Cambridge have to offer, how an application might be made to one of them and what qualities these universities are looking for in potential students.

7:30pm Senior Hall. ‘University or Degree Apprenticeship: What to do After Sixth Form?’ Matthew Wetherill, from Queen’s University Belfast, and Andy Iredale, Director of Customer Engagement for Blackpool and The Fylde College, will delve into the employability benefits of these two different career pathways.

Members of our Local Governing Body, all from diverse career backgrounds, will also be on hand at the refreshment breaks and throughout the evening to speak with students and give advice and guidance. More information on our governors can be seen through our website: Governors - AKS Lytham
