It was fantastic to welcome so many new faces at our Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 9th November, in addition to our Year 11 students who had chance to explore the twenty-two subjects offered at AKS at A level, as well as the array of enrichment opportunities, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, CCF, the Tycoon Enterprise competition. Our departmental teams were also excited to meet potential scholars, across the disciplines offer that we offer scholarships for (Academic, Art, Sport, Music and Drama).
Many thanks to Keira, Meghna, Yash and Charlie for providing a student-perspective about life in Sixth Form on our panel.
The evening was also an opportunity for two of our Tycoon Enterprise teams, Build A Bauble and Extravagant Engravings, to go head-to-head with their stalls, both offering Christmas-themed products that went down a storm. Look out for them at our forthcoming events, where their exquisite products will be on sale in aid of Trinity and Brian House Hospices). Well done to Cody and Theo (Build A Bauble) and Millie, Rhys and Liberty (Extravagant Engravings) who were a credit their teams (and AKS Sixth) - and are great role models for any aspiring entrepreneurs!
