"Incredible food and service"
We are delighted to welcome our new school chef, Lee Munro, who's keeping up the superb standard of food our students enjoy on a daily basis. As well as providing a varied menu for break time, lunches and snacks in our Pavilion cafe, Lee and his team provide refreshments following sports fixtures at AKS during the weekends. The team catered for Park View's15th year celebration charity ball last Saturday when they wowed ball-goers with their delectable delights, including deserts incorporating edible flowers grown at Park View. Lee was delighted to receive excellent feedback in his first week at AKS ("Incredible food and service"; "awesome food"), although he explained that the food produced is a result of the hard work from his amazing team.
As well as bringing his experience as a banqueting chef to AKS, Lee is looking forward to continuing our much-loved cookery club by introducing our senior students to patisserie work, including making chocolates and a selection of cakes. He will no doubt enjoy sharing ideas and planning new dishes with our pastry chef, Bev.
Current and prospective parents are invited to sample this award-winning food at our Whole School Open Day on the 12th October (Nursery and Preparatory School, 11am-1pm; Senior School and Sixth Form, 1-4pm).
A selection of delicacies will accompany morning refreshments in our Preparatory School; a tasting menu drawn from typical school lunches will be available in our Senior School hall later in the afternoon.
