CCF Update and Promotion

An update from WO2 Sharon Hobson-Woodhead, SSI AKS CCF

This week we welcomed back cadets from Year 10 to training, and promoted Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Jack Hayden to the rank of Warrant Officer Class Two (WOII) and the post of Cadet Company Sergeant Major (CSM).

Jack has been in the CCF 5 years and has shown exemplary personal and leadership skills. After receiving his promotion he said, "I'm very proud to be promoted to CSM. I've been in the CCF since Year 9 and have had the opportunity to get involved in many different activities including camps, night exercises and weapons training. 

I hope to go to university next year to study physiotherapy, where I want to get involved with the UOTC with a view to a possible career in the RAMC."

Jack is also  one of our Deputy Head students and a member of the rugby First XV and he is very much looking forward to next summer's tour to South Africa. Congratulations!
