Developing Character and Confidence Through LAMDA

Senior students have hit the ground running with lines learnt they are now working hard on staging their own choice exam monologues. Over the coming weeks, students will be to delving further into the world and mindset of the characters they are playing through character hotseating and also participating in Stanislavski based voice and movement workshops in class.
Meanwhile, Prep pupils have been exploring poetry and developing their performance techniques including: projection, use of pitch/pace/pause and facial/vocal expression in order to create an engaging recital for an audience. All pupils receive valuable weekly feedback (stars and wishes) which is written in their red LAMDA book so they can practice at home and improve each week.
It has been a pleasure working with the students and getting to know them all as individuals- I can really see their confidence growing as each week goes by.
If you are interested in developing your child’s confidence, communication and performance skills through LAMDA classes, please email  info@storyboxdrama.co.uk for more information and a sign up form - classes are open to all year groups from Reception- Year 13.
