Celebrating a Fantastic First Half Term 

 

As we reach the end of our first half term, it is the perfect moment to celebrate all that our school community has achieved over the past seven weeks. From merits and commendations to daily acts of kindness and perseverance, our students’ effort, enthusiasm, and positivity have truly set the tone for the year ahead. 

Year 7: A Brilliant Start 

Year 7 has made a remarkable beginning to life at our school. Fifty-four students earned their Bronze Awards by achieving over 15 commendations each, while seven went even further, receiving Silver Certificates for reaching 30 commendations. 

A special congratulations to Rebecca and Joseph L, who led the way with an outstanding 38 commendations this half term and received their Fast Track Pass for their exceptional achievement. 

In the House Points race, Year 7 results were as follows: 
3rd place (joint): Leighton and Rufford 
2nd place: Gawthorpe 
1st place: Samlesbury. Well done to all. 

Year 8: A Close Contest 

It has been a competitive and hard-working term for Year 8, with many students striving for excellence. Jack L and Elena B stood out for their outstanding effort and positive attitude, closely followed by Arabella C, Grace H, and Tom J. 

These top scorers earned Fast Track Passes, rewarding their commitment and leadership and setting a fine example to others. 

Year 9: Consistency and Positivity 

Year 9 has continued to impress with consistent effort and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Michael H, Antonia B, Isabella B, and Eloise R for leading the way this half term through their determination and positivity. 

Year 10: Leading with Energy and Ambition 

In Year 10, Estelle B and Matheson S have set the standard with their exceptional focus and drive. Their hard work and attitude have been truly inspiring. 

Year 11: Setting the Example 

As our oldest students, Year 11 have demonstrated true leadership and resilience. Congratulations to Shelby Q, Sienna C, Sam M, Amritha V, and Scarlett E for their outstanding achievements and commitment during this important year. 

Whole-School House Results 

Every merit and commendation contributes to each house’s overall total, and this half term’s results are in: 
4th place: Rufford 
3rd place: Samlesbury 
2nd place: Leighton 
1st place: Gawthorpe. Congratulations to all involved. 

Looking Ahead 

This half term has been filled with energy, ambition, and pride. Every student has contributed to the vibrant, caring, and high-achieving community that makes our school so special.
