Year 11 pupils complete Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition

Year 11 pupils have had an excellent few days completing their Bronze D of E expedition this week.  The expedition was especially memorable as it would have been the Duke of Edinburgh's 100th birthday on the 10th June.

They worked enthusiastically in their teams, walking challenging routes around and over Beacon Fell. They enjoyed camping overnight, and they developed camp craft skills by cooking on trangia stoves and pitching tents correctly.

Well done to all pupils on a successful expedition.
