Welcome Mrs Annie Millard, Director of Finance & Operations

Annie is originally from North Yorkshire but moved to Lancashire to work for Blackpool Borough Council in the Education Department.  From there she moved into School Business Management and spent the next 12 years in a large all age special school progressing her knowledge, skills and qualifications in education business management and leadership.  During that time, she was successful in setting up a Sixth Form Centre (now based at The Oracle building in Blackpool), she converted 5 schools to form a Multi Academy Trust and secured a £1.2m five-classroom building. 

For the last 3 years Annie has worked in a school in Chorley as part of the Senior Leadership Team and also secured a new two-classroom build on site, whilst completing a degree in Business Management and Leadership. 

Annie has 2 children and enjoys all things ‘family’ in her spare time as well as a love for books, marine conservation and Marvel! 

Annie is proud to have joined the AKS community and is looking forward to sharing her experiences and knowledge and working with the whole staff team.
