Year 2 trip to Park View PUBLISHED 29 April 2024 Last week Year 2 experienced a very exciting trip to Park View. Their visit allowed them to investigate the habitats of a variety of animals and plants. Pupils found lots of different minibeasts including worms, woodlice, two types of centipedes, millipedes, snails, slugs, ground beetles, and many more! They made their favourite out of natural clay material. They also observed lots of seeds and bulbs growing in the kitchen garden and explored how dandelions absorb water. Pupils also got to sow some seeds in the wildflower meadow and they hope they will grow over the coming weeks. Year 2 also helped the volunteers plant radish seeds and carefully laid out the seeds evenly in the raised beds. Pupils ended their visit with a well-deserved picnic and play on the park! What an exciting way to learn! AUTHOR: Samantha Dobson PUBLISHED: 29 April 2024 CATEGORIES: News, Prep School
