Year 3 & 4 Play - Mystery at Magpie Manor

PUBLISHED 20 March 2024

Year 3 and Year 4 put on a marvellous show on Tuesday 19th March to packed audiences. The pupils transported the audience back to the 1920s and to Lord and Lady Pica's Magpie Manor where the owners are struggling to pay the bills.

The solution to their problems is to put on a grand ball at Magpie Manor and sell off the family inheritance the, 'Pica, Pica solid-silver pitcher with the magpie picture.'

Unfortunately, the pitcher has gone missing but ...'Who Dunnit?' All the guests are questioned by Agatha Christie and Inspector Spectre.

In the end, the culprit is found out and the pitcher is returned to Magpie Manor where it rightfully belongs. All their troubles are now over.

The Year 3s and Magpie Mac delighted the audience with their singing as well as the Year 4s with their wonderful acting from Mr Fortune the bank clerk and his assistants, Scribble and Blot, as well as the auctioneer to the tradespeople and the Butler. And finally to all the Lords, Ladies, Grandmamas, and their families including the Flapper Girls.

Mrs Briggs, Mrs Blinston, Mr Thomas and Mr Worthington are very proud of all the pupils with their splendid acting, singing, and comic timing. They have shown commitment and enthusiasm.
