Senior Hockey Tour to South Africa, July 2024 PUBLISHED 19 March 2024 Mrs Rachel Mason and team were delighted to present the tour information for this summer's Senior Hockey Tour to South Africa to parents on Monday this week. Trips and tours not only build memories, skill and experience, but also broadens our students' horizons, whether that's through exploring Robben Island, learning more about the Apartheid and Nelson Mandela or by catching a glimpse of "The Big 5" on safari. South Africa truly is the experience of a lifetime for any sports person and the Cape Town International Hockey Tournament 2024 promises to be extra special, including a visit to the Lesedi Cultural Village, a game reserve and a guided Langa Township Tour participation in the TAG community programme, including teaching local children hockey skills a tour of Robben Island, a nature reserve and whale watching up-close-and-personal interactions with eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, kites, buzzards, snakes and lizards. a full day Cape Point Tour, including Seal island, Chapmans Peak, Cape Point alongside a three-day hockey tournament and multiple training sessions. Please note that tour training commences on the 17th May and Mr Daws will be planning a programme for students to follow in the summer term.
