Year 7 transition module includes pedestrian safety

As part of the Year 7 transition module in PSHE, students were treated to a session by Performance in Education all about pedestrian safety. Unfortunately, accidents involving this age group are on the rise in Lancashire and this was a timely message.

Year 7 listened very well and were eager to answer questions about the various characters from the performance and what they did that endangered them and how they could have made their behaviour on the pavement and roads safer.

Needless to say, much was said about mobile phones being a huge distraction if used while being a pedestrian. Thank you to Lancashire County Council for funding this experience.
