U13 Girls came 3rd in the Wyre and Fylde Cup, beating Rossall School in the playoff game.

Senior boys

AKS 6/110 def by Lancaster Royal GS 0/111

AKS won the toss and batted ok a lovely wicket at Lancaster. Our batters were aggressive and skillful. We were always looking to score. Alfie K played a great innings opening, scoring 29, whilst Xavier D and debutant Tommy M contributed with scores of 23 and 15 respectively.

There was plenty of hard running and also some hard hitting at the end courtesy of Jeremy A and Edward S.

Our bowling innings did not go to plan and we were not able to stem the flow of runs. Initially, we bowled quite well and disciplined, but lost this during the innings, resorting to short bowling and able batters putting those undisciplined balls away. They had some very able batters who missed very few opportunities and batted extremely well.

Next week we are hosting our Senior Cricket Festival - 3 days of 40 over cricket, which we are looking forward to!

U12

U12’s won by 12 runs. All players bowled and had a positive impact on the game. Reuben A retired on 25. Frank C Man of the Match with a 2-wicket maiden and an outstanding catch in the field.

U13

T10 match. AKS 78/9 def Bury GS 56/8. Freddie B 18, Finlay K 2 wickets.

AKS played excellent attacking cricket, capitalising on any loose deliveries. We made a good total and set out to defend it in fine style, bowling at the stumps and being tight in the field.

U14

Bury GS cancelled our U15 boys and U13 and U15 Girls fixtures, unfortunately.
