Students shine at our Senior School Autumn Concert

PUBLISHED 12 October 2022

Our Senior School Autumn Concert was held on 11th October in our Senior School Hall. Louis G. (Year 13) hosted the event with a witty and informative repartee, introducing the audience to the music and composers, as well as the to soloists and ensembles performing it.

Congratulations to all our new Year 7s for their composure and confidence in taking to the stage alongside older, more experienced performers. It was fantastic to see so many taking part in both the concert band and choir. It was also heart-warming to see and hear the collaboration between Prep and Senior choirs when they performed Sisi Ni Moja together, with solos from one of the oldest members of the choir (Miranda, Year 13) as well as one of the youngest (Maisie, Year 4).

We heard new pieces from the Swing Band and Concert Band, as well as the choir. In addition, the diverse programme included soloists on guitar, piano, saxophone and voice, as well as small ensembles.

It was a real treat to hear such accomplished performances.

Save the date for our next concerts (all welcome!):

  • 2nd December, 7pm: Prep Christmas Spectacular with the Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band (Senior School Hall)
