Year 8 art students create cupcake designs that literally will be good enough to eat!

Over several weeks Year 8 Art students have been designing cupcakes - based on the style of the illustrator Tom Hovey, who creates the artwork for the 'Great British Bake Off'.

Our amazing catering team, including our Catering Manager Steve and our Patisserie Chef Dom, then judged over 100 student entries and selected just three winners. These winning entries will then be created for our students to actually eat and enjoy!

The winners, Oliver, Amelia, and Sophie all received an art kit and certificate. The winning designs include exciting ideas and are imaginatively called 'Cupids cupcake', 'Ripple Wonderbubble' and 'Red Carpet'.

It'll be so exciting, and indulgent, to sample these cakes later in the final half term. PUBLISHED: 27 May 2022
