Year 5 enjoy Outdoor Learning in the sun!

This week in Outdoor Learning, Year 5 pupils started work on preparing the garden ready for new bulbs and seeds to be planted. They donned their gloves and picked up trowels and got to work on removing weeds and dead plants.

The children had some fennel and celery plants from last year leftover, which they have decided to use to try and regrow new plants from the scraps.

They took the base of the celery and fennel, placed it in a tray of water, and left it on the window ledge where it will get plenty of sun. Hopefully, within the next week or so they will see some new shoots starting to grow so that we can replant them back into the garden. PUBLISHED: 29 April 2022
