AKS selected as host school for Round Square International Conference 2022

On September 19th Round Square delegates from across the world will arrive here in the UK, to attend the Round Square International Conference 2022. We at AKS are very excited to be one of four schools hosting the delegates and taking care of them during their visit.

The conference brings together like-minded students aged 15-18 from across the world to consider the conference theme and to experience different cultures, adventurous activities and broaden their world views.

The theme for the Round Square International Conference 2022 is Take Less: Be More.  Before the delegates arrive at our school on Thursday the 22nd of September they will spend three days in the fabulous and historic surroundings of Oxford University.

The RSIC2022 will begin with arrivals on 19th September, staying in one of four colleges (Keble, Pembroke, The Queen’s College or St Anne’s), attending keynotes at the Oxford New Theatre, taking part in baraza breakouts, dining at the Colleges and enjoying some fun activities including a literary adventure race, and creative and theatrical and dance opportunities in locations around the City of Oxford.

We then have an amazing three days planned where delegates can enjoy a festival evening with live music and international street food, an adventure day in the beautiful Lake District, and a day set aside to focus on service to our community.

We are looking forward to putting on a conference that will be remembered for a very long time!
