Year 13 Geography Field Trip

PUBLISHED 03 December 2021

As part of the A level Geography curriculum, the students need to study how a place has changed over time and how this can be planned and branded.

Accordingly, our Year 13 spent time at Salford Quays examining the changing nature of space and how this area has redeveloped itself from a post-industrial landscape into a leading centre for media and the arts, as the location includes the BBC, ITV and The Lowry theatre.

The students also spent time in the IWM North, examining the way conflict has touched the lives of many in recent years, as this helps in the understanding of the Power and Borders element of the curriculum.
