Friendship benches, AKS rules and healthy snacks

I am delighted to announce we now have two friendship benches and friendship signs for the Prep school. The benches are rainbow coloured for brightness. Along with this, we have developed our own AKS Rules. The children enjoyed creating these in a PSHE assembly. The staff also had an input too.

Our AKS Prep School Rules:

We work and play calmly.

We are kind, polite and helpful.

We show respect and take responsibility for ourselves and people, property and the environment.

We listen.

We keep a neat and tidy appearance.

In Year 3 PSHE lessons, the children have been thinking hard about our rights and the responsibilities which come along with these. We discussed the work of UNICEF and the recent climate change protests. We watched a clip of Greta Thunberg on Newsround and wrote our own rights and responsibilities.

It is great to see so many healthy snacks at breaktime. Just a couple of reminders: please try to find alternative snacks to crisps and sweets. We are a NUT FREE school and this includes breaktime snacks too. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
