Welcome to Miss Jenkinson, Senior School History Teacher

PUBLISHED 01 July 2020

After anouncing the retirement of Mrs Ward, we are delighted to announce the arrival of Miss Hannah Jenkinson who will join the History department from September 2020.

Born and raised on the Fylde Coast, Hannah is a graduate of history, having completed her Masters and BA (Hons) at Lancaster University. She completed her QTS and PGCE with the Fylde Coast Teaching School’s SCITT. Prior to teaching, Hannah returned to Rossall School where she worked as a Graduate Assistant and an Archivist. Hannah is a passionate historian, whose enthusiasm for all things historic is infectious. She is an ambassador for the Holocaust Education Trust and, during her Masters, she completed a contracted project for Lancaster Castle entitled ‘A Castle Childhood’ which will go on to form a new exhibition. Her passion for the subject also led her to research and write Rossall School’s first World War One Book of Remembrance. Outside of the classroom Hannah is a keen sportswoman, having played and coached both hockey and cricket. Hannah is very much looking forward to joining AKS and getting involved in all aspects of school life.
