Year 7 "Poetry By Heart" 2021

Even within the context of ongoing remote learning, pupils across Year 7 have persevered during the first half of Spring Term with efforts to commit a poem from this year’s ‘Poetry by Heart’ anthology to mind, with the end product being a performance of their memorised piece. 

In previous years, the best Year 7 performers have advanced to a House final in March, judged by English staff and a school governor, and we hope to be able to construct a remote platform through which this can happen in the second half of term.  Watch this space!
