Wednesday 17th April in the OAKS Hall witnessed the first Life Drawing class, hosted by Miss Cusimano. There was an air of excitement as this new and introductory class begun . Open to all years, the artists were introduced to the style of drawing through the session.
Assisted by Miss Cusimano, artists used a mix of media including graphite, black pen and white chalk on a mix of coloured and textured paper types.
Lasting for an hour in time, the art class allowed the artists to focus their skills, albeit introductory, and to learn how to approach the sitter, translating what they saw in to a lifelike representation.
Offering expert guidance, Miss Cusimano advised all who were at the class regarding technique, and how to add realism to the image.'
Miss Cusimano added " It was a wonderful event to see both staff and students work collaboratively and grow in confidence throughout the session whilst they applied their skills and techniques"
