Year 11 students complete their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition

During the first week of the Easter holidays, twenty Year 11 students braved the elements, in the Yorkshire Dales to complete their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition.

They were faced with rain, snow, sleet and fleeting sun while they completed 3 days of walking and two nights camping. The students, though tired, completed their expeditions in amazing spirits and the comradery shown was a testament to the students involved.

The challenging routes tested the student's map reading skills, through very muddy wet terrain which saw some beautiful views including caves, coves and mountains.

We were impressed with how all students conducted themselves and how they dealt with all the situations and weather thrown at them.
