AKS host ESSA North West Lancashire Cross Country Cup

Just before the half term break, AKS played host to the ESSA North West Lancashire cross-county cup for the very first time. Hosting schools from across the county and entering a team of 8 runners themselves the course took competitors across the school site, testing them more on their speed endurance than their hill climbing prowess, given the lack of hills.

Nevertheless, there were some superb performances from all schools, with Lancaster Grammar School looking particularly strong this year. AKS runners were in the mix across all age groups and represented the school superbly well.

With many more competitions coming up for the AKS runners, this was an excellent start to the season to come.
