Successful Gold Duke of Edinburgh training expedition

The Gold training expedition over the weekend was a tremendous success. The weather was really kind for once and although some students found the night temperatures rather chilly, the rain held off.

Students walked over 35 kilometres in two days climbing Whernside (one of the three peaks ) on Day 1 in record time despite carrying heavy rucksacks and whizzed round on Day 2 to complete ahead of their route card times.
