U14 hockey squad raise money for The Sparkle Foundation PUBLISHED 16 May 2023 After an incredible season, the U14 hockey squad came together and organised a fundraiser. As Captains of the team, Amelia, Lucy, Esther and Lilly thought it would be a great idea to conclude the season by working together to raise money for a special charity. All members of the squad participated in the penalty stroke challenge, which involved the team taking a total of 100 shots at the goal. Not only did squad members take part, but family and friends kindly sponsored the players and had the opportunity to predict the total number of goals we would score. Thanks to their generous donations, our squad raised a significant amount of money. We decided to allocate these funds towards The Sparkle Foundation. We all had an amazing time and on behalf of the squad, I would like to thank Mrs Hanham and everyone involved for helping us to raise money for such a worthy cause.
