As a result of the compassion and enthusiasm of AKS students, in March 2015 students, staff and parents, were actively engaged in protecting individuals across the globe whose human rights had been attacked. The week of action included two student led assemblies, a drama performance, over 900 action cards signed and posted to protect and support individuals at risk of torture and injustice , heartfelt cards and messages created and sent , and above all, a huge wave of heightened awareness across the school community . Photos of the action featured in the national publication, Amnesty Group News. The students found support from local Amnesty members and from the staff at the London central office to create a week which left lasting impressions on many lives. We congratulate AKS on your amazing work.

Friendship, sense of community, lots of extra-curricular activities and opportunities to take part in.” This is what my daughter’s immediate response was when I asked her what she loved about AKS. As a parent, you want your child to be happy and to make the most of the opportunities given to them at school. To be the best they can be. AKS does this so well because the staff go that extra mile. They freely give up their time during holidays to create original drama performances, to host a Chinese cultural exchange or to hold pre-season sports training. Just imagine how they inspire the students in class!

Fylde Fairtrade has had the honour and pleasure of working alongside staff and students at AKS. We have seen at first hand their positive attitudes and generous spirit and commend the school’s commitment to social issues and the service of others

We would like to say a huge thank you for all the love, dedication, patience, and overall nurturing of Eli. He has grown up so much from that little baby in Toddlers to now the next step… AKS Reception, and we owe a lot of that to all of you.

I’m particularly impressed with the academic rigour of AKS; too many independent schools concentrate on their sporting prowess, scholarship opportunities and extravagant trips. As parents we’ve felt involved in curriculum progress with clear feedback helping us support our children in specific areas for improvement. Both our boys have surpassed their target grades and they love going to school; we thank the school and couldn’t ask for anything more.

I felt I had to email to say a huge thank you, to you, and your amazing team, for your commitment, enthusiasm, professionalism and extraordinary talent. The evening was a marvel of the highest standing, and I'm astounded that you have managed to produce such standards in the timeframe available. A sincere congratulations for your utter dedication

In my experience, AKS has always catered for students of all abilities and interests. It has a genuine family atmosphere, with palpable respect between students and teachers. Its moderate size means that children "do not get lost in the system". I believe that at AKS every student is encouraged to be the very best they can be. Our youngest daughter, Rosie, has just graduated from the AKS sixth form having spent 15 very happy years at AKS. We would love to do it all again!

I was delighted to spend time with the hockey trip to Scotland from your school last week. I was part of the Scottish dance band who provided a Ceilidh for the girls and staff on the Friday night. The girls were a credit to their teachers and AKS School. They were friendly, polite, enthusiastic, willing to join in, what was, I think, a new experience for them all and full of fun. Your staff, led by Michelle Whorlton Jones, were excellent and so supportive. Being an ex PE specialist myself, I know only too well the pressures and organisation involved in taking groups away on such trips!

Thank you (and your amazing team) so much for all you have done for Ava and Ella during their time in toddlers. I cannot believe how much they have grown and how happy they are. I attribute this to the fantastic environment the Nursery provides which nurtures each individual. You all work so hard and care so much. I am pleased that we chose you and AKS Nursery. Thank you.

I teach theatre make up at Blackpool and Fylde College and work on the Musical and Drama Degree and Btec Curriculum, and last night’s production was totally out of this world! The performance of Sweeney Todd made me feel compelled to write to congratulate the cast and production team on what can only be described as a magical performance. It was so wonderful to watch such a high standard of production from the leading cast to the ensemble. You as a school must be so proud of your pupils and staff. Well done AKS!!!

I clearly see the benefits of an AKS education. It is not just the encouragement and assistance to attain the best possible academic results but also the additional qualities that the school develops in every child – a natural confidence, great personal skills and a desire to achieve in whatever field he or she pursues. The AKS experience is far wider than just academic. It is CCF, Duke of Edinburgh, school productions, sports events and tours, field trips, charity and community initiatives and much, much more.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone at AKS for the tremendous support given to my son. I would especially like to thank his teachers and his learning support teacher, Mrs Luke. My son found academic work a huge challenge due to his dyslexia, but everyone persevered with him and he ended up achieving 1xA, 1xB and 4xc's (including Maths and English) which allowed him to carry on into the AKS Sixth Form. To some his grades may not seem the biggest achievement, but for him and everyone who knows his personal journey, this was a tremendous success (my daughter had achieved all A stars at AKS, the difference is, my son's grades were beyond our expectations). Since starting at Arnold and then at AKS, he has grown in confidence and has achieved great success in sport. He is a very polite and kind young man and shows great determination, which are some of the many values that AKS has helped him strive for. So thank you again AKS, our family are very grateful for all that you have done for him.
