AKS Action Group support Mission Christmas Campaign 2019 PUBLISHED 28 November 2019 Following on from the success of last year’s collection, the AKS Action group has once again pledged its support to the Mission Christmas campaign. Last year, Mission Christmas provided gift bundles to over 17,500 children in Lancashire who otherwise may have received no presents. The children who receive gifts are deemed to be the most vulnerable under 18 year olds living in the county. Head teachers, social workers and health visitors request gift bundles per individual child and Mission Christmas aims to ensure all requests are met. As a school community, we want to play our part by collecting as many gifts as possible. These gifts can be for girls and boys of any age group 0-18 and they should be new and unwrapped. There will be a collection point in the foyer of both the Prep School and the Senior School. We will be collecting gifts right up until 16th December. A team of student volunteers will take these gifts with them to the sorting centre. Please help us support a local charity and local children this Christmas by buying or donating an extra gift.
