'A Celebration of Art' Exhibition

We are pleased to announce that Anna from Year 8 has been awarded the 'Best Under 14 years' prize and has been awarded £50.  The school was awarded second place overall and will be awarded £75 with the following students receiving a highly commended certificate:

Emily  - 'Highland Cow

Millie  - 'Shadow Boy' 

Megan -'Three Owls'

The prizes were handed out by the Mayor with students receiving an art kit and vouchers to spend at Granthams.

“A Celebration of Art” an exhibition of work for secondary schools and 6th form colleges in the local area. AKS are showcasing a wide range of work including drawing, painting, photography and sculpture. Work has been entered from every year group, with Year 7 entering a collaborative piece that features all of the year 7 students.

The exhibition is held by the Lytham Heritage Group on Henry Street in Lytham until 29^th March.
