Business Students Share Game - Live trading in live lessons

Congratulations to Year 10 student Ben for his portfolio performance.  In his second investment of a virtual £100,000 he has traded his way to £35,340 profit in just short of 7 months. 

I am not sure I would have predicted shares in British Airways and Iberia to have gained that much, especially with continued uncertainty over travel. However, Ben also bought and sold shares in the insurance and building industry and then reinvested the profits into BP.

A certain amount of luck, good timing, and looking up low share prices and how they might change in the future has made him the leader of the AKS Year 10 league.  Well done Ben!

As part of the academic enrichment in the Business Education department all students are given £100,000 to buy and trade virtual shares. We have several teams and leagues running now.
