Preparations for Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition

On Sunday, in preparation for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition, 63 of our Year 10 pupils took part in a comprehensive training day here at AKS.

They had an excellent day learning navigation skills, planning routes, cooking on trangia stoves and pitching tents. All pupils behaved impeccably and fully engaged in all the activities.  Well done to all of you.

We are now looking forward to the qualifying expedition which is due to take place on the 9th and 10th May.
