Reception hunt for minibeasts at Park View

The Reception class enjoyed a lovely day out at Park View with the rangers Julie and Rachel earlier this week.  The children hunted for minibeasts in the kitchen garden and in the woods and then created their own favourite clay minibeasts.

The children compared which minibeasts had been found in the garden compared to those found in the woods. They found an abundance of centipedes, woodlouse, and long worms hiding under the bark in the woods.

After our picnic lunch, the children got to play on the park until it was time to return to school.
