It was another successful day for our AKS Prep Indoor Athletics squad competing in the U10 & U11 AJIS Indoor Athletics finals on Thursday 26th Jan.
With over 30 Independent Schools from around the Northwest competing at Wigan Robin Park Sports Arena, our talented squad from across Years 4 to 6 continued on with their success from last week's winning streak.
In the U10 age group, we had medal success for Jack L who won through to the Boys 1 lap sprint final taking the silver medal. In the chest push event, Max V won bronze with a great throw whilst Austin D was the silver medallist with quick feet on the speed bounce.
In the U11 age group, Lucy P won Gold in the girls balance bar competition, Sadie A won silver in the Girls 1 lap sprint final, Amelia G won bronze in the chest push and our girls obstacle relay team won a bronze medal in a fantastic team performance.
Big Thanks to Mr Rice, Mrs Dixon and Mrs Shakespeare for supporting all the children on the day.
We now look forward to our next Indoor Athletics finals in March.
