Last week in Religious Studies, Year 7 were visited by local Vicar Paul Bye, who very kindly attended lessons giving students the opportunity to ask questions and enquire about faith and religious experiences.
Here is what our students had to say...
'Paul, a local Vicar, came in to talk to us and to answer any important questions we have about Christianity, his life as a Vicar, and his life in general. I really enjoyed it because everyone got a chance to ask any question, they wanted, and Paul was happy to give a very detailed answer. It was quite different having someone come in to talk to us in person about what we have been learning. It was a really good opportunity to hear his perspective on Christianity. '
'I found Paul to be really interesting and enjoyed listening to his point of view about Christianity. Hearing somebody speak about their beliefs and personal experiences made the lesson more of an impact on me than just reading about it.'
'I found listening to Paul interesting because I don't think I have spoken to a Vicar before and had not thought about what kind of job they have. It was excellent to learn new facts and insights into Christianity.'
