It was an incredible triple gold for Year 11 student Evie at the Archery GB Junior National Indoor Championships held yesterday at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
Representing England, and shooting a 20 yard 60 arrow round in the U18’s junior ladies' barebow class, Evie shot the highest individual qualifying score of 534 and secured her first gold medal of the day.
Her score, combined with her fellow barebow England teammate Emily’s score of 518, meant that they both went on to secure the Home International barebow team gold.
The individual head-2-head knockout competition saw both Evie and Emily later facing each other in the finals. Emily took the first round but Evie fought back in the subsequent rounds taking her third gold and the 2022 National Indoor Junior Barebow Championship Title.
3 golds, a new NCAS and LAA record (breaking her own records and subject to ratification) - one amazing day of archery.
Well done Evie, you’ve raised the bar to a height that will be difficult for others to emulate. An absolutely amazing year of archery!
