Games Night a Huge Success

The Sixth Form Lounge was a hive of lively activity on Friday night. As ever ‘Beetle Drive’ started proceedings and it wasn’t long before competitive spirits came alive. ‘Sevens’ was our new card game of strategy and luck. Perhaps the highlight was Dev’s delightful ‘Name that Tune’ with a nail-biting tiebreaker. Unusually ‘Play Your Cards Right’ the cards were not as cruel as they were in the past. ‘Prize Bingo’ brought a hush over the large crowd before the night drew to a close with a raffle. A note of thanks must go to the local business sponsors, Bosco, Funny Girls, Dalmeny Spa and The Retreat. A wonderful evening of bygone games and laughter not forgetting the money raised. This will all go to fund games afternoons for Just Good Friends for the next academic year, and as promised the chance of upgraded crackers at our Christmas themed afternoon on Wednesday 7th December! 

Just Good Friends is a local charity that aims to combat loneliness and isolation in the community. they have just celebrated their 10th year and it was a pleasure to host Bev Sykes and her colleagues alongside so many students, parents, and staff. I’m sure next year's event will be even better.
