Talented Year 10 student Evie travelled to Lilleshall National Sports Centre last weekend to compete at the Archery GB Junior National Outdoor Championships.  This was a challenging two day archery event attracting archers from all across the UK.

Evie competed in the Ladies U16’s Barebow section, an event that she won last year.

Day 2 Imperial Rounds, 144 arrows up to 50 yards.

Each day consisted of approximately 7 hours of intense competition and Evie shot incredibly well finishing first on both days, becoming Junior Ladies National U16’s Barebow Champion for the second successive year.

In doing so, Evie set an amazing;

4 National Junior Records

8 Northern Counties Junior Records

Along with her two winners trophies, Evie was also presented with an Archery England Purple Rose award for scoring over 1,000 points on the second day, the highest award achievable. She was also presented with her 2021 Archery GB Ranking Award – ranked no 3 in the UK - an outstanding achievement.

Well done Evie, a fantastic weekend's archery!
