Creativity has been in full flow in the Prep School art studio this term. Year 6 pupils have been exploring the vibrant Mexican festival, Day of the Dead, learning about its rich traditions and symbolism. As part of their studies, they have been sketching intricate skull motifs and developing their colour-blending techniques to recreate the striking patterns and designs associated with the celebration.
Meanwhile, Year 5 have been taking inspiration from artist Susan Silberzweig, creating expressive portrait paintings bursting with colour. Using a palette of bold, bright tones, the children have carefully mixed and layered colours to capture the distinctive style and energy of Silberzweig's work, producing a wonderful collection of vibrant and imaginative faces.
